- Project Description
I was fortunate to meet Mark McLean in 2003 when his career as a studio and touring musician was just beginning to take off. I designed and built his first website back then, but after 10+ years, technology had changed dramatically and a new website was in order. Mark didn't want a generic site, so a site builder such as squarespace or wordpress was out of the question.

DesignerDeveloper
Mark's website had to reflect both the richness and precision of his musical style and abilities. To achieve the desired look and feel, I used plenty of photography and texture combined with a light and clean typographic style. On the tech side, a flexible, reliable and easy-to-use CMS was key, so I selected the excellent Craft CMS. I also connected the site to popular platforms including Youtube, Soundcloud, Twitter and Mailchimp to allow for easy publishing of content without costly custom development work.
